The Office of Electronic Communications, the Ministry of Digital Affairs, the National Institute of Telecommunications, research centres and telecommunications undertakings including, among others, T-Mobile Polska, Polkomtel, Orange Polska, P4, Netia, have signed an agreement on the "5G for Poland" Strategy.
The objective of this Agreement is to develop and implement the "5G for Poland" Strategy. The activities undertaken aim at creating optimal conditions to ensure that Poland becomes a leader in launching 5G and reaps the related economic benefits thanks to the development of Industry 4.0.
UKE promotes innovations and supports the "5G for Poland" project. The joint initiative of the Minister of Digital Affairs, the President of UKE and the remaining signatories of the Agreement is a real opportunity for integrating the communities that are interested in development of electronic communications in Poland. For UKE it means valuable support in the frequency management process and other tasks related to the implementation of a new standard in communications. I believe that 5G has the opportunity to become the driving force of Industry 4.0 - said at the conference Marcin Cichy, President of the Office of Electronic Communications.
The Agreement is open to participation by all players in the Polish ICT market, Polish governmental and other public institutions, R&D companies and scientific bodies.
